Shock move

Diego Costa could move to Turkish giants Besiktas as Chelsea look to offload the striker this summer, though a deal would likely be a loan move.

Journalist  tweeted on Friday evening that there is a chance that Besiktas could sign the Spaniard this summer.

He tweets that he thought a deal would not be possible because of those chasing the player, but also admits he was wrong and a deal could be possible.

Finally, he explains that it would be more likely of a deal to ‘rent’, meaning a loan deal.

Atletico Madrid were set to sign the player this summer but a deal is seemingly not as smooth as first though.

Antonio Conte informed the player at the end of the season that he would not feature in his plans next season.

It probably still remains unlikely Besiktas will get their man, but fair play to them for trying.

Atletico priced out

While a return to Atletico Madrid looks the most likely for Costa, they could be priced out of a move.

Reports on Friday evening have revealed Chelsea’s asking price and Atletico value him nowhere near that figure.
