Turkey builds up forces along Syrian border amid Erdogan’s threats to Kurdish forces

BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:05 A.M.) – The Turkish military sent a military convoy to the western part of the Idlib Governorate, Saturday, amid border concerns over the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) recent advances inside the province.

According to Turkish state owned Anadolu News Agency, five tanks loaded on trucks were transported from the southern countryside of the Hatay Province, Saturday, to the western countryside of Idlib.

The Anadolu Agency further added that the convoy was sent to reinforce their troops on the border, but did not provide any more details.

This latest build up by Turkish military comes shortly after Recep Tayyip Erdogan demanded that the Kurdish YPG forces in northwest Aleppo surrender their positions inside the Afrin Canton.
