In time for peak ice cream season, two Turkey Hill flavors are returning. One is coming out of retirement and one is a repeat limited edition.
Caramel Brownie Overload is back after topping Turkey Hill Dairy’s ultimate flavor tournament. Campfire S’mores is back for a limited time for a second summer.
The bracket tournament pitted retired flavors like Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and Sticky Bun against each other, according to Turkey Hill. More than 50,000 votes later, Caramel Brownie Overload won over finalist Peanut Butter Marshmallow.
The caramel ice cream has brownies and waves of caramel fudge. It was available in 2000 and will be back on shelves in 2018.
This was the first time fans chose a new flavor. Usually, the Lancaster County company’s research and development team selects new flavors.
