Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the gained 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:), which rose 11.97% or 1.350 points to trade at 12.630 at the close. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:) added 7.69% or 0.070 points to end at 0.980 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:) was up 6.08% or 0.570 points to 9.950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:), which lost 2.67% or 0.090 points to trade at 3.280 in late trade. Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:) declined 2.56% or 0.030 points to end at 1.140 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:) shed 1.91% or 0.48 points to 24.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 321 to 49 and 38 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.18% or 2.40 to $1350.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.37% or 0.92 to hit $66.47 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.25% or 0.91 to trade at $71.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.26% to 4.1081, while EUR/TRY rose 0.60% to 5.0841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 89.21.
