Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the fell 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:), which rose 4.59% or 0.210 points to trade at 4.790 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:) added 3.57% or 0.210 points to end at 6.090 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:) was up 3.56% or 1.68 points to 48.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:), which lost 5.99% or 0.950 points to trade at 14.920 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:) declined 4.30% or 0.75 points to end at 16.70 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:) shed 2.69% or 0.170 points to 6.140.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 206 to 151 and 51 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.48% or 6.50 to $1348.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.76% or 0.51 to hit $67.58 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.06% or 0.76 to trade at $72.78 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.50% to 4.0895, while EUR/TRY fell 0.61% to 5.0401.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 89.53.
