Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the fell 1.76% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:), which rose 2.66% or 0.130 points to trade at 5.020 at the close. Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:) added 2.08% or 0.14 points to end at 6.88 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:) was up 2.03% or 0.50 points to 25.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:), which lost 7.89% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.050 in late trade. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:) declined 6.37% or 0.86 points to end at 12.65 and Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:) shed 5.26% or 0.260 points to 4.680.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 341 to 40 and 27 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.25% or 3.40 to $1347.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $66.25 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $71.39 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.04% to 4.0956, while EUR/TRY fell 0.35% to 5.0559.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 89.35.
