AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang is currently being linked with a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce – despite strong links with him returning to the Premier League.

Niang has been rumoured to be joining the Premier League this summer, but according to Football Italia, he is close to signing a permanent deal with Fenerbahce.

Niang joined Milan in 2012, he scored eight goals in 67 appearances for the club, but was then sent out on loan to Montpellier, Genoa and Watford for a total of three years.

The 22-year-old spent six-months on loan with Watford as he became more and more unfavoured at Milan. He scored two goals in 11 games for the Premier League club before returning back to Italy to re-join with his AC Milan team mates.

Watford were reported to want Niang on a permanent deal, but their valuation of the player was deemed too low in the eyes of Milan and they rejected a £5m offer. He was then rumoured to be joining Ronald Koeman at Everton but nothing ever came of it and now reports suggest that he will join Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super League.

AC Milan are asking for 18m for the young French forward and Fenerbahce have met the asking price – they have offered Niang a four year deal at the club worth €3.5m per year.
